My name is Made Balbat

I am an Estonian artist. I was graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts, the department of graphic art. Drawing has always been my passion, as long as I remember. Creating my world with lines and colors fascinates me. Recently I have been working mostly with digital media. My pictures are often based on literature, world-famous stories, and fairytales. Besides the illustrations, I make original prints: traditional etchings and drypoints. These pictures are engraved on a zinc or copper plate and printed by hand with a printing press. Another field I am working on is graphic design. I have designed in quantities books for different publishers in Estonia. I design all my calendars and postcards. I have had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Estonia and abroad.
